In this article, I’m going to talk about the importance of email marketing, and the overall strategies that I use. I’m not going to get too much into detail here about the copywriting portion and all of that.
However. I will be writing articles soon that will be going into more detail about what the content should be and about how to create SEO-worthy content and different things about funnels sales funnels and all of that good stuff. However, for now, I just want to start by laying out the foundation for email marketing.
Why? I think it’s important what the benefits are, and it’s kind of how to get started with it, and the different software options that are out there.
5 Importance of Email Marketing
So for email marketing, basically the reason that I love it so much is that unlike other types of traffic and other types of marketing, email marketing is so much more versatile like, you don’t have to be under anyone’s constraints. You don’t have to rely on anyone all day.
This is your list. This is your email.
You can send out whatever emails you want. You can say or include whatever you want. There is no restriction. You don’t own your audience in the hopes that they’ll be on your list. You have those email addresses and nothing can take them away from you.
1. You Can Gather More Loyal Customers
Unlike when you are advertising on Facebook, you’ll need to put a lot of effort into creating new posts every day, replying, and sharing your brand. There’s not a high chance that all of the people who follow you on Facebook will see your posts. Or, if you’re selling something, recommending something, or if you’re getting into turmoil or whatever.
But basically, if you’re trying to communicate a message of some sort and turn to Facebook ads, then you’re paying for each time somebody views or clicks on your advertisements.
Same thing with Guest Posting. It takes a lot of time and effort to write Guest posts, you’ll need to spend a significant amount of time writing a good article. In a nutshell, it is a time-consuming method with no guarantee of success.

Social Media VS. Emails
Building a YouTube following, Instagram following, or Facebook following any kind of social media following is really good too. However, your engagement with your audience on Youtube is lower than with an email list because people are not always on YouTube. They’re not always on Instagram. They’re always on Facebook.
And even when they are on those things, they’re going to have an enormous time looking at the ads part of it. Do you know what I mean?
Like, people who are on Instagram all the time are not usually paying attention to the big brand accounts. And at a certain point, everything kind of becomes noise because there’s so much being thrown at them.
The same thing with Facebook, when you’re using Messenger or even scrolling through the newsfeed, some ads will catch your attention for sure. But most of the time we go to scroll right through, either you’re looking for something or you’re not that busy or whatever, you know what I mean?
Like, you’re just looking for something to spare time.
And so, many of the ads on Facebook get so generic. Sponsored pages, sponsored videos, and sponsored content get too distracting and will lead to being denied.
But, in terms of engagement and building connections, I believe using Facebook or Instagram is the better choice of platform. They both have great features which you can communicate well with them. People have a lot of choices about how they’ll contact you; through comments or by sending a direct message.
The point is when it comes to having your own audience and whether they pay attention to you, email is by far the best. If you have somebody on your email list, the conversion and the engagement on an email list are way better because things that are actually important get sent in their direct email. Right.
2. Email Marketing is Cheap!
Email marketing is one of the least expensive digital marketing strategies for reaching and engaging your target audience. With all of the fees involved, traditional marketing tactics such as TV or print ads and direct mail can become quite costly.
Email marketing, on the other hand, has very few costs associated with it.
You may need to hire help to create email content, depending on your budget. Also, most businesses pay for email marketing automation services, which makes effective email marketing less time-consuming. Overall, email marketing is the perfect digital marketing trick you can use to promote your business with small budgets.
3. It is Easy to Measure
The only way to know if a strategy is effective for your business is to track the results.
Another reason your business SHOULD NEED email marketing is that email marketing metrics are simple to track and measure over time. That way, there’s no guesswork or uncertainty about whether the strategies you’re using are effective or not.
Your business can use email marketing tools to see which users opened your emails. You’ll be able to see if they clicked any links or completed the desired action (or converted). You can also see how many people unsubscribed from your email list after opening it.
4. It Increases Your Brand Awareness
No, social media isn’t the only platform that can help a business’s brand awareness. If you have your customers’ email addresses, this means one thing: they are interested in your business! By staying top of mind, email marketing allows you to increase that level of interest and brand awareness.
This does not mean sending 6 daily emails to each and every customer. That’s a bad idea and a “great” way to make customers dislike you!
Instead, try some email marketing that promotes your involvement in the local or global community. Too often, businesses use email marketing to sell, sell, sell their products while completely ignoring the brand awareness factor. In doing so, they are also preventing the ultimate possibility of gaining customer trust and adding a sense of security.
You probably notice by now that most of the well-known companies are supporting Ukraine amidst the war against Russia. That can be considered as brand awareness, as they want to spread a message to their customers about their support for peace.
5. People Feel More Connected With You
Emails have the potential to keep your customers up to date. Consumers can check their email whenever it is convenient for them. It may give them the impression that you are thinking of them.
You can have them updated with your latest products or offers, or you can also give out coupons and stuff like that, things that are actually beneficial to them and a lot of that comes through email.
This email could simply say, “Hi, you’re on our mind, here’s a special offer!” ” or “Here’s an update on what’s been going on here in recent weeks.” Those who have subscribed to your email list have already agreed to receive these updates. So they’ll probably enjoy these emails (as long as you give them something worth reading), and it’ll increase customer engagement.
They’re much more likely to buy expensive products off of an email. Do you know why? Because for this reason, I can actually tell you because we have an email list. You formed a relationship, right?
People sign up to an email list and then you start foreign relationships like you guys are. If any of you reading this right now, our if you’re on my email list. Then you know, because I send out emails about my back story, I sent out emails about books that really changed my life and basically my whole journey to getting here, how I got here and why I’m doing this, why am trying to help you and how I can help you out with your problems!
And I talk a lot about a lot more stuff in the emails I’m talking directly to you. I am comfortable sharing every knowledge I know about email marketing because I’m directly talking to you. And that is the beauty of emails, you attract more loyal customers because of your personalized message for them.
That’s not just content that’s on my website that I almost share a lot of personal thoughts. I feel a little weird, and it seems like I’m posting my entire life story just like on my blog. I mean, I don’t know, feels kind of weird to do that. But when somebody signs into your email signs up to your email lists like, when you guys subscribe to my email list, I feel like there’s a closer connection, you know what I mean?
Clearly, I’ve done something that makes you want to sign up. Clearly. I’ve said something or you’ve watched a video, reaffirmed an article, or whatever. And you’re like, “Okay, I actually want to hear what this person has to say.” Then I’m like, “I’m okay! I trust this person enough to actually receive emails from them.”
And even though my inbox is cluttered and it drives me crazy to look at it every day with my 500 emails a day, I still have decided to add this person to my email is, and at that point, it’s like, “Okay, there is trust that’s been established so it’s fine with me sharing more personal stuff than I would be comfortable with just sharing online.” Okay. So it kinda goes both ways, you know anyways!
So my point is you’re going to get higher conversions on email. You’re going to be able to sell more expensive products, as well. And both of those things are because of the added trust and because of the higher attention on email.
So people are paying more attention when they’re on their email, and they have higher trust when they signed a business’ newsletter. There is more of an understanding and knowledge that develops through the reading of emails consistently over time.
So generally, it’s really good to have an email list, and your audience will probably like the fact that you have an email list.
My Final Thoughts
I hope you enjoy the fact this sort of reflection slash email marketing tips.
I have several email lists actually. And when you have it, I would say start out with one because they can be a little bit confusing. And I’ll talk about the software in this second, but you want to start out with 1. And basically once a person signs up to your email lists, you want to say like,
“Hey, this is what kind of content that you’re going to get, this is what I’m going to talk about, this is more about me or more about my brand stuff – stuff that might help you in building the relationship through email marketing.”
Developing a good email marketing strategy lets you reach and connect with your people in a more personalized manner, increasing sales at a low cost.
