Some users, though, might find it difficult to access their Bitcoin addresses. Lucky for you, this guide will show you how to find bitcoin address on Coinbase!
Usually, they are a string of letters and digits that the platform provides users with in order for them to successfully complete transactions.
Take note that each cryptocurrency has a unique wallet address. For instance, you must send someone your Bitcoin wallet address if you wish to accept Bitcoin from them.
Similar to sending someone your Ethereum wallet address, you must do the same if you want to accept Ethereum from them. So, if you receive cryptocurrencies from the incorrect wallet address, you risk losing money.
How to Find Bitcoin Address on Coinbase
To receive crypto or NFTs on a Coinbase account, you must have a wallet address. It functions similarly to an email address and is frequently referred to as a Public Key. When using your PC to access the platform, perform the procedures below to generate a Public Key.
Step 1: Open Coinbase in your web browser and, if prompted, enter your login details.
Step 2: After logging in, you should be on your Coinbase home page or dashboard. From there, click the Send/Receive tab.
Step 3: Once this box below opens after clicking Send/Receive tab, click Receive.
You’ll be prompted to click “I understand” which basically alerts you to select the right cryptocurrency, either if it’s Bitcoin or Ethereum, or other altcoins listed.
Step 4: Click Turn on instant transfers. So if you want to trasfer Coinbase to Coinbase, you can do that.
Step 5: After that, this will generate a wallet address you can use to receive your bitcoin transfer.
It will be a long string of numbers and letters, like this. And, now you’ve got your Bitcoin Address!
This is the wallet address you should disclose if you want to receive Bitcoin.
This is due to the fact that you will only be able to accept Bitcoin in your Bitcoin wallet address.
But, if you want to receive another cryptocurrency, please select the “Bitcoin” on Asset tab. After selecting the “Bitcoin” address tab, an assets page will appear.
On the assets page, you’ll find a list of cryptocurrencies that may be obtained using Coinbase.
From there, you can find the cryptocurrency you wish to receive.
For instance, if you wish to get XRP, look for and tap on “Algorand.” When you’ve identified the cryptocurrency you prefer, you can just click it in it will automatically change from Bitcoin to Algorand.
Step 6: Simply click on the clipboard button next to your address listing to “copy” your bitcoin address.
You can now provide this address if someone sends you bitcoin or if you move bitcoin from another exchange/wallet to your Coinbase account.
Conclusion: How to find your Bitcoin address on Coinbase
Before you accept cryptocurrencies from someone, make sure they first make a test deposit.
Sending cryptocurrency to the incorrect wallet address may result in funds being lost. As a result, after sharing your wallet address with someone, request that they send you a modest percentage of the cryptocurrency initially.
For example, if someone is sending you 0.01 Bitcoin, ask them to send you 0.0001 Bitcoin first as a test.
Once the transaction is complete, you can request that they deliver you the remaining 0.0099 Bitcoin. This will help you avoid a botched transaction, which may be quite costly.
