Affiliate Marketing and Blogging

Hi internet friends and welcome! My name is Glorie and today I’ll be going over a course by one of my Pinterest favourite lady bosses on affiliate marketing and blogging: Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers

If you’re reading this, then chances are you’re struggling with actually making money on your affiliate blog. I mean, who hasn’t?

Affiliate marketing is HARD. Don’t listen to anyone who tells you it isn’t.

It takes work, patience, and dedication to make it work.

So I want you to stop being so hard on yourself and cut yourself a little bit of slack. There’s no rush to build the perfect business overnight. Blogging isn’t the way to make money fast (you’ll need a job for that) but it can help you build a sustainable passive income in the long haul.

Just like anything, the most efficient way to reach that goal is to learn from someone who is already there:

Personally, I like Carly because I think she’s 100% the real deal. She tells it like it is when it comes to blogging and her courses are super affordable.

I recommend you check out her free beginner guide on how to start a blog to see if you like her teaching style and the content that she delivers.

Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers, Product Overview | What is Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers?

This is a course by Carly (i.e. owner of Mommy on Purpose) with 4 main sections that teach you to step by step how to make money blogging using affiliate marketing.

The course uses mostly screencast videos so you’ll be able to see Carly’s screen and follow along with her explanations.

It also really highlights the importance of building a solid e-mail list. I know I know that you’ve heard that one before but the difference is that Carly will show you exactly how she builds and uses her e-mail list in order to make money.

She goes through a case study where she made over 5k in 1 e-mail campaign and you’ll get to see exactly how she did it so you can replicate it for your blog.

Everything in the course is also written out in the text as well as in video format so you can learn and solidify the concepts in whichever format you feel the most comfortable.

The Good, the Bad & the Ugly

Pro #1: Step-by-step, over-the-shoulder video content so you can follow along.

Pro #2: How a real person makes real money on her affiliate blog and how you can do it too.

Pro #3: Using e-mail list building and e-mail campaigns to sell affiliate products.

Con #1: This is a slow process – it takes time to build organic traffic to your blog (whether you’re using Google or Pinterest).

Con #2: If you want the same results as Carly, you also need to get her Pinteresting Strategies course because she gets at least 50% of her traffic from Pinterest.

Con #3: No support.

Who is Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers for?

#1: Bloggers who have traffic and want to start monetizing with affiliate marketing

If you have traffic, this is the perfect course for you because it will teach you tips and tricks on how to make the most of the affiliate links on your posts.

#2: Bloggers who are not making money from their affiliate links

If you’ve been trying affiliate marketing but it’s not working for you, you’ll learn why and how to fix it.

#3: Bloggers who want to learn how to up-level their income through e-mail marketing with affiliate links

If you haven’t jumped on the e-mail marketing bandwagon yet, it still works and you’re missing out on thousands of dollars by not collecting those e-mails!

What if I don’t have enough traffic?

You might need to look into Pinteresting Strategies first to build up your traffic to the point where you can really make affiliate sales on your site. This is how Carly gets at least 50% of her traffic (at times upwards of 400k pageviews a month).

Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers Training & Tools

The training is a mixture of direct teaching and teaching through case studies of things that have worked for Carly.

This is the EXACT curriculum that you will be following:

Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers  Support

Carly states in the course that she is not able to provide one on one support via e-mail without upping the price.

She does include some FAQs within the course and goes through the process of how to troubleshoot if things aren’t working.

Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers Pricing

This is Carly’s most expensive course and I do think that what makes it worthwhile is the e-mail marketing section.

I’ve seen bloggers charge upwards of 5 figures (YES, that’s right – pretty crazy) for how to build an e-mail list. Of course, they always complicate things and include all sorts of fancy programs and this and that.

You do NOT need all of that in order to build a solid e-mail list and one that will convert your audience into buyers.

My Final Opinion of Affiliate Marketing for Bloggers

I think that if you’ve tried affiliate marketing and you feel like it’s just not working for you but you don’t know how to make it work for you, then you should invest in this course.

There’s a reason why it looks so easy for some people – they’ve all had someone teach them what actually works!

This course is all about getting conversions. Yes, you need traffic but you can make sales with limited traffic if you know all the right things to do.

Lots of people stick affiliate links in their blog posts BUT not a lot of people can make a full-time income that way

  1. Hey Martina! I have wondered about this exact thing. I am trying to do affiliate marketing but from more of a blog standpoint than some of the more cut-and-dry sites I’ve seen. This might be worth the investment for me. I’m only about a month into this but haven’t figured out how to really make money with it and feel somewhat lost. So I really appreciate your insight here. Thanks, girl!

    • Hi Laura – 100% understand where you’re coming from. Affiliate marketing using a blog is a LONG road and it’s a lot harder than it’s made out to be – just keep pushing and it will come
